2023 Ford Explorer Trim Levels

One of the really nice things about the Ford Explorer is that it offers a lot of choices. Here you’ll learn about each of the eight trim levels — including the very impressive 2023 Ford Explorer ST-Line — and the features they come with.

2023 Ford Explorer

The base Ford Explorer has a turbocharged 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with cloth upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a four-way manually adjustable front passenger seat.

Ford Explorer ST-Line

With the ST-Line trim you’ll also get:

Ford Explorer Limited

The Explorer Limited adds ventilated first- and second-row seats, genuine leather upholstery, and front parking sensors.

Ford Explorer Timberline

If you’re looking for an off-roader, the Ford Explorer Timberline is it. It comes standard with a limited-slip differential, all-terrain tires, and skid plates.

Ford Explorer ST

The ST and other upper trims come with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that puts out 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. This trim also adds a sport-tuned suspension.

Ford Explorer Platinum and Ford Explorer King Ranch

Both of these trims add upgraded leather upholsteries and wood trim pieces, as well as reverse automatic emergency braking.
