Porsche Des Moines Celebrates Grand Opening with a Heritage & Horsepower Celebration

Porsche has officially returned to Iowa. On September 19, 2025, Porsche Des Moines opened its doors to the community with a spectacular Grand Opening Celebration at its all-new, state-of-the-art facility located at 7220 Lake Drive in West Des Moines.

The evening was a tribute to Porsche’s legacy of innovation and performance, bringing together Porsche enthusiasts, city leaders, and community members to celebrate the brand’s long-awaited return to the state.

A Grand Return to Iowa

For the first time since 2008, Iowa welcomed the Porsche brand back with the unveiling of Porsche Des Moines, the state’s only Porsche Center. The dealership’s arrival marks a new era for local enthusiasts and customers seeking an exceptional luxury experience closer to home.

Guests attending the event were greeted with live entertainment, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, premium beverages, and an unforgettable lineup of both vintage and modern Porsche 911 models — a perfect tribute to the event’s theme, “Heritage & Horsepower.”

The evening began with a lively happy hour filled with networking, music, and photo opportunities set against a stunning backdrop of Porsche performance.

As the clock approached six, the official ceremony commenced. West Des Moines Mayor Russ Trimble welcomed guests and shared his excitement for the dealership’s impact on the community, noting Porsche Des Moines’ investment and commitment to growth in the region.

Following the Mayor’s remarks, Sean Presnall, representing Aureon, the Ribbon Cutting Presenting Sponsor, congratulated the Porsche team and presented a commemorative plaque on behalf of the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and Aureon.

General Sales Manager Ryan Pemberton then led the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by the Porsche Des Moines executive team, Aureon representatives, and chamber ambassadors. Smiles, applause, and camera flashes filled the showroom as the ribbon dropped — marking the official beginning of a new chapter for Porsche in Iowa.
